| About DGIWG
The Defence Geospatial Information Working Group (DGIWG)
develops and maintains a suite of digital geospatial information
(DGI) standards that foster the interchange, access and use of geographic
information between the defence organizations of member nations.
DGIWG operates as a consensus organization that builds its standards
based on international standards and commercially available industrial
specifications. It has close cooperation with ISO TC211 Geographic
information/Geomatics, and other international organizations
addressing related specializations of geographic information (see
links).
The enterprise structure of DGIWG including its mission,
business
goals, development
strategy, organizational
structure, and method
of work are given in the identified sub sections.
Participation in DGIWG is limited to the national representatives
of member states. The current participating and observing member
states are listed in the Member
Nations page. |
