Defence Geospatial Information Working Group
Activities

Joint Projects

The DGIWG, in its effort to promote interoperability of geospatial information and services amongst the military community of users, may collaborate/coordinate with external entities to address items as information content, transfer mechanisms, and storage. Collaboration/coordination is normally with entities in which the DGIWG has established a Technical Co-operation Agreement for the standardization of geospatial information. Projects are usually based on DGIWG draft standards or change requests to existing standards in order to address specific interoperability requirements for geospatial information and/or services. In all cases, DGIWG contributes resources to facilitate and guide the work to ensure defined interoperability levels are met. DGIWG members may participate as a: project lead, document editor, or subject matter expert.
